While working at JNS Next, the agency of record for the project, I was tasked with designing and co-developing a new tourism landing page for the Hayfork Chamber of Commerce. The goal was to establish Visit Hayfork as a cohesive destination brand that could unify local businesses and highlight the area’s agricultural roots and cannabis-forward positioning. I began by creating a sitemap in Octopus.do, which laid out the site’s structure and user flow. From there, I designed detailed mockups in Adobe XD, including the homepage, listings page, and blog page, capturing both the brand character and the practical needs of the Chamber’s audience. While only the homepage was developed, the additional mockups showcase the higher-level design concepts I had envisioned for the full site.
Once the designs were approved, I collaborated with a freelance WordPress developer to bring the homepage live, ensuring it matched the design vision as closely as possible. The site launched on schedule, within budget, and is still live today, providing a central hub for visitors while giving local businesses a unified platform to promote themselves. The project demonstrates how thoughtful design and collaboration can translate brand strategy into functional digital experiences.
